I was cleaning out some old files & found these. They are from a very mini shoot I did with my son on April 14, 2008. I can't believe I forgot about these.

He has changed so much, but still looks the same.

I can't beleive my sweet little boy is 5! He starts school in August & I'm not ready. He is growing up too fast.

New Camera

So it has been a while since I have updated this blog but I'm happy to announce that I got a new camera. I got a Sony A200. I have been wanting a Nikon but this was more for the money & I know I will get the Nikon I want later. I love my new camera! I wish I had it to do the other photo shoots but oh well. I have been wanting to do another shoot but the timing is just not working out for me. I am trying to get some people together so I can practice. That is all for now. I'll be back soon.

Baby L

This is my neice. I did the maturney pictures & now here is the sweet baby girl. Baby L was born on March 5, 2008. We took the pictures on May 3, 2008 so she was about 8 weeks old. I thought she would be easier to shoot than my son. Well I was wrong. She was so hard. She did not sleep most of the time & moved a lot. I really had fun though. We spent a long time on this shoot too. I was really unhappy with this shoot. I didn't get very many good pictures.

I love this one. It is a bit blury but I tried. I am getting better.
I was really just playing around when I did this one & it turned out pretty good.
I love this one. I think it is my favriote.

My First Real (but unpaid) Shoot!

This was my first "real" shoot. This is my Sister-in-Law & her husband. We took forever doing this shoot because we were trying out new things. I had a great time. I learned a lot doing this. I am pretty happy with these. By the way they were all taken with my point & shoot camera.

This is my favorite picture. I love how it came out. This was also one of the first ones I took of them.

This one cracks me up. It sums up how we all feel this far along in the pregnancy.
This is in the baby's room. The window here is really nice. We waited too long so all the natural light was gone so I had to work harder to get this one.

Well that pretty much sums it all up. I was pleasantly surprised @ how well my camera worked for me.

Photo Shoot with my son

I did a photo shoot with my 4 year old son on February 9, 2008. It was a pretty hard shoot. He does not like to cooperate with me. I just snap as much as I can & hope for the best. I'm really surprised I got as many good shots as I did.In this picture (below) you can tell he was bored. I love how it captures his personality.
He posed himself for these next pictures.

The black& white conversion is off on this I know but I love the picture. He is saying "No more pictures please!".

My Photo Blog

I have started a photo blog so I can show off my work to anyone who cares. I love photography & hope to someday have my own business. I have done a few photo shoots of my son (of course), my sister-in-law (maternity), & my niece. I am interested in all portrait types. I love kids but didn't know how hard it is to shoot kids. I just keep practicing & someday I will be great. I will post pictures as often as I can.
